Anyone convicted of unlawful photography would also be required to register as a sex offender.

I’m guessing they mean up skirting and similar? This is a felony wobbler in CA when under 18, and Tier 3 currently (I’m on it for that despite a 17b reduction and1203.4 dismissal).
WTF? So if a person takes a photo on a beach and another person happens to be in frame and decides to make a scene, the photographer potentially faces conviction and registration. Of course this is Tn., so fetynal is still just a misdemeanor
Come to TN for a vacation, take unlawful pictures, and you’ll have a lifetime of registration after you are done with probation.
This law is the epitome of vague, and intentionally so I imagine. Legislators sure are obsessed with the human body. Per Way too long’s beach example, anyone taking vacation photos anywhere has a chance of getting someone’s kid in the picture. People may be assuming unlawful photo means the worst in terms of cp, but this law will allow a felony conviction for any photo if unauthorized.
